Katie has worked in the human services field since 2011. She grew up on a farm in rural North Dakota and later moved to Fargo where she attended NDSU and graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Katie stayed in the Fargo area for 10 years, where she worked with children and families who had mental health or behavioral health needs. 

Katie earned her Master of Social Work degree through the University of North Dakota in 2019. Katie continues to work with children, adolescents, families, and those in the foster care system. In addition, Katie has experience working with adolescents and adults involved in the Criminal Justice system. Katie is a certified Domestic Abuse Intervention Program (DAIP) group facilitator and certified in Grief & Loss treatment. She is nationally certified to provide Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Katie currently specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, secondary trauma, grief/loss, and family relationships. She is especially passionate about bringing services to those living in rural areas and educating service providers and first responders on Secondary Traumatic Stress.  Katie is also a safe and affirming provider for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Katie lives in Bismarck, North Dakota with her husband and their dog. She enjoys cooking & baking, dog snuggles, spending time at the lake, watching football, painting, and reading.
